Hi - I'm a 70 year-old retired LEO from Central Florida who began in 1974 and retired in 1997 - when I started we had only car radios (which took nearly a minute to warm up before use), a S & W Model 66 revolver and a total of 18 rounds of .357 ammunition and a Remington 870 shotgun and 10 rounds of 00 buckshot.
I worked in nearly every area - patrol, traffic, motors, communications, investigations, crime lab, traffic homicide investigator, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Uniform Division Commander...you name it.
After retiring I was a State of Florida D.L. examiner and then taught at a non-profit safety training organization for 18 years, mainly in the area of court ordered classes dealing with driver's license suspensions and revocations plus new drivers, traffic ticket classes and DUI offender courses.
I still shoot regularly on weekends with several former LEO's and most of the time carry a Sig P365 concealed. My wife is also a former LEO with 20 years service. I own three 870's - two from the 1980's and one tactical made around 2010.
