New model Rem Arms 870 tactical forend question

The firearm in question: REM Arms 12g 870 express synthetic tactical 7-round

Hi. Can someone please confirm that the forend tube assembly nut can be removed from the forend assembly? It seems to be all one molded polymer piece now on the newer ones coming out of REM Arms. Is that correct or can the forend be replaced without buying a new tube assembly as well? Thanks
