Good after noon I am new to the forum, looking forward to being a member. I have a 870 20guage in near pristine condition with only a in the safe bump. The gun has never been shot and I'm not sure I can figure out the manufacture date. on the barrel are the numbers OC 50 the S/N is V891063X anyone out there give me some info on it and educate me.

I think the 'O' stands for July and the 'C' could be 1934 or 1982, if you e-mail or call Remington with your serial number they will supply all the information to you. I think the V stands for 1979 era.
