Remington 870 13ga Wingmaster

I recently received a Rem. 870 12ga Wingmaster, The serial number starts with the suffix number one, and ends In the prefix letter V. I know the V stands for a full sized 12ga frame, shooting only 2 3/4 shells, I can't find anything stating what the meaning is with no letter suffix ??? Could anyone answer to what this means ???
