Remington 870 and it's daddy model 31

Post by JOG »

Today I took my 1972 Remington Wingmaster out for some fun. My buddy was flinging clay disc with the old hand tossing devise.
It has the old original skeet barrel on it. I put a box of light birdshot through the old girl. Lot's of solid hit's turning them into powder!
After my shooting session I headed down to my local gun shop looking for some ammo.
I checked out the gunracks, not much as usual. Then I saw what looked like a very old pump action shotgun!
It was a late 1930's Remington model 31 in 20 gauge with a 26 inch barrel. It's choked IC.
I'm sure this would be nice for walking the woods this fall looking for birds!
I put a few bucks down on this oldy. I'll pick it up soon.
It has the smoothest pump action ever! They called it the ball bearing gun.
The inside is pristine with a shiny bore. The outside has some scratches and bumps from being 80 or 90 years old.
Looking forward to shooting this old classic Remington!
I know they were made from 1931 to 1949. They were the main competition with the Win :D chester model 12.

We can wait, but not too long. Bling and gun-porn is what we live for.
