Remington 870 SPS Super Mag Turkey Front Sight Bead Question

Can anyone tell me if the bead front sight on a 870 SPS Super Mag Turkey/Predator is screwed in or pressed in? I want to change it out for something that stands out more in low light but am reluctant to try to unscrew a pressed in bead and mess it up. Tried contacting Remington but in four days still no reply.

What kind of bead does it have? Brass? While I can't say for certain, it would seems extremely unlikely that Remington would deviate from standard screw-in bead just because its a turkey SPS. Doing so would add cost, manufacturing complexity, and supply chain complexity. The most logical and likely scenario is its the same bead and thread pitch as their other shotguns.

And if it's pressed (I doubt it is) then you'd remove it by twisting. So it's gotta come out anyhow, right? I'd lefty-loosey that li'l sucker.

BUT! What bead do you want on it? XS makes a tritium "Big Dot" sight that you epoxy over your existing bead (or the provided bead if your bead isnt the same size). Put one on mine of my barrels and I like it.

So if that's what you want then DONT remove your bead. Just order the XS Big Dot.

I have never seen a pressed in bead.cubes 2048..Thats to say that its not,I dont know
