My late husband has a Remington rifle i am trying to identify and date the website is not helpful or user friendly, It has a number stamped on it but no letters on the barrel how can i identify the weapon

Can you post some pictures of it? A close up of the action and bolt would be more helpful. Or take it to a local gun store and they should be able to help.
