Pistol grip for 20ga. 870 youth model

I am wondering if I can get a pistol grip to fit a youth model on the 20 ga, 870 youth model. I think this would work for my wife who in in her 70's She would be more app to shoot the 20 ga than a 12 ga. any thoughts

So it's a newer, small frame 20 ga? Older model 20 ga had same receiver as 12 ga in which case you could use any 12 ga accessory...don't know about small frame 20 ga 870s

Somebody makes an adapter plate, but I'm not sure it would work as it would set the grip farther from the trigger and this is for a woman who uses a youth stock. I would guess the adapters I've seen were about 1/2" thick. Maybe less....

I appreciate the info the gun is about 20 yrs old. I got it for my son who was about 9 at the time and he is now knocking on the door of 40.
