So Anders, couldn't help noticing in your top picture a key rings that seems to state "Stop the Gun Ban....". Are you still in Sweden, and is that a current political issue?
Hi!
Very sharp eyes there

Yes, it is a very serious issue ongoing right now in the EU.
1. They have firstly written a new gun legistation that heavily regulates the already very very hard gun-laws we have in europe for the most parts.
2. They have also just some weeks ago once again written new proposal to ban lead in the ammo used in wetlands. Now, with the new proposal almost ALL of Sweden as a small example are considered wetlands, as they have extended the distance from an actual wetlands where you are allowed to even carry lead ammunition with you.
3. On a national level we in Sweden also have an socialist and greenparty coalition goverment wich in itself have launched an crusade towards us legal gunowners and sportshooter with new proposals to go even beyond the EU legislation. All of wich they try to hide under the "fight gun-crimes and criminality" in wich we all belives in.
4. We have encouraging signs we in Sweden actually can win this fight as just some weeks ago the goverment failed to pass the latest gun-laws wich included bans on magazines larger than 10 rounds. Instead the majority of the assembly voted in 8 points that will make gunownership a lot easier for the legal gunowners and sportshooter. The same happened exakty a year ago, but still the goverment has not acted accordingly.
So, there it is, the socialist movement is the root to evil, is the root to gun-ban. Note that I think also Sweden have propably amongs the most regulated laws ever to be found about legal gunownership.
First, you have to go to course arranged by certified hunter organistation. Then you will have to pass a 70 question test where you must have at least 66 out of 70 correct (may differ somewhat down, I cant recall that exact just now)
After passed teoretical test you have to go through shooting test. First shootguntest will typical be shootgun, and clay shooting. Then over to shooting running pig, target on 25 meter. The third test will be target shooting 80 m with .22 lr, both sitting and standing. When you passed all these you can go to the last test "Big games", and you will shoot on running elk target 80 m with class 1 rifles (here in sweden we mostly shoot 6.5 X 55 Swedish Mauser. If you pass the tests you can go on to seek license at the police for all guns you passed. And in by so doing you will have to pass to the Police system and be considered eligible to own a gun. Note that you are not allowed to own gun if you hav a criminal past wich are deemed serious. You are also not alloew to own gun if deemed to be extremist of any kind (most that are affected of this are right-wing folks)
Last, we gun-owners in sweden go through daily data-checks run by police and lawenforcment, so it will just take days if someone commit a crime to their guns are taken away.
I hope this will give you guys some insights in how we have it in Sweden
Anders
