Good afternoon folks!
I just bought my first 870P (police trade in) as a newbie i didn't catch that the ejector housing was missing its front part that engage with the barrel.
I just want to repair it myself then drill and tap the new ejector and spring.
My questions are:
1) should i drill and tap the receiver or the rivets?
2) Which drill and tap, and machine screw size should use?
Thank you very much for any given help!!!

I modified an older 870 to accept 3 " shells using a newer ejector. I just drilled the rivets out, purchased new rivets, ejector and ejector spring. I also purchased the ejector spring rivet setting tools for brownells. It's a bit of a pain to set them but definatly doable at home. I would not drill and tap anything personally.
