New to shotguns, been shooting all my life (mid 50s now). Have been content with shooting bench rifles handguns (mainly 1911) and having fun with FALs and just a couple ARs.
I have been wanting to get a shotgun for years and have been mainly wanting a Wingmaster. Finally got one yesterday. Its a 20ga with 26 "barrel, high gloss and blue.
Learning my way around it - manual of arms, disassembly, etc. I hope to have time from work to go to the range next weekend or maybe Thanksgiving weekend. Main purpose is for fun plinking and have been checking out skeet shooting. The range I am a member of has a designated skeet range and holds periodic competitions. Looks fun!
Already eyeing some prospects for a semi auto. Doing research on Rem 1100, Mossy 930, Beretta A400 XPLOR KO.
I look forward to being a member here to learn from other more experienced members.
