Nice work. Is that just those fill sticks sold by Brownells, or did you use something else? I've used those highlight/fill-sticks to bring out serial numbers at times and such, but they don't seem permanent even after hardening.

Came out nice. Are you going to clear coat or wax over it? Wondering if it will chip/flake out under recoil?

If I recall correctly I did put a little clear over it.

Seeing as how I degreased well with alcohol and used a heat gun to dry it and added about 3 or four coats using non acetone nail polish remover each time I think it really didn't need the clear coat.

Great. Would like to hear your experiences with how it wears and holds up after a bunch of range use.

I've shot it numerous times since doing it. No issues as of yet.

Plus it's a 7.62x39 ar so it's got more recoil than the .556
