Where to hold front sight in rear adjustable rifle sight?

Post by Mifune326 »

Hey everyone!

I have a quick question. I have the adjustable rifle sights on my Remington 870P. Where should I be holding the front sight, at the top of the rear "V" notch (level with the top) or down in the bottom of the "V" notch?

Thanks!

Whichever you prefer, I would say. Since the sights are adjustable, you can dial them in for either hold.

When I use rifle sights I have front sight down low in the "V".

Thank you Vitaly. Ill give that a try. I just picked up a used 20" barrel with rifle sights (in great condition) from Vang Comp for $100. I also bought the Remington +3 mag extension so I'm looking forward to seeing how that combination works out. I'm also looking forward to seeing how much difference a little longer sight radius makes.
