3' barrel on 3.5 chamber

Hi folks,

I have a new super mag with 3.5 chamber. I put a red dot on it for deer hunting. But most part of the time i do clay shooting. I already adjust for slug at 100 feet. But went im doing clay my vision is not so good even if i have a cap on my mount to see my sight.

One of my buddy want to sell me a refle barrel with scope mount for nerly notting.. But on the barrel its a 3' barel. Is that barrel will fit on my gun ? i know with this barrel i won't be able to shoot 3.5 but the avantage is that my red dot will be on it and set for the hunting season.

So can a 3'' barrel fit on a 3.5 receiver gun.

Yes, any standard 12ga 870 barrels (those meant for receivers with normal 4-round magazine tubes) can be used on a SuperMag receiver. As you said, you'll just be limited to shells that are equal to or shorter than the chamber length.
