What stock brands fit the 870 20 Gauge?

I have been looking around, and see that several companies make stocks for the 12 gauge, but not many for the 20, or at least don't clearly state they fit a 20. I would like to get a tactical style stock that has a pistol grip and adjustable butt pad. I also want one that has a fore-end included if possible. I was told by a local gun shop that I could get a Mako Group pistol grip, then add any M4 rail of my choosing. I then would have to buy a fore-end for it (he recommended ATI). I am wondering if I am forced to buy a 12 gauge model fore-end, or are these the same? He made it sound simple, but looking up the mako grip, plus an adjustable butt stock, and then a fore-end means I'd be looking at over $150. I have found some Blackhawk stocks that suppress some of the recoil for about $100, but unsure if these have a fore-end included? They seem like they would work real well, especially for my wife and eventually my son to shoot, since recoil is reduced. If someone could send me in the right direction that'd be great! Noob here, but I have been researching the same question as the OP.
1.Blackhawk Knoxx makes tactical stocks for the 870 20 gauge--they referred me to Amazon for this one:

I do not know how to post links so you will have to do a search on Amazon for this--I checked today and they are in stock there.
2.Speedfeed (google it) has some conventional stocks for the 870 20 gauge.
3.Choate also has stocks for this gun--find them at Riflestocks.com.

Old thread, I know, but for the benefit of future readers, Mesa Tactical now offers an adapter that allows 12ga stocks to be installed on small-frame 20ga receivers. If there's some aftermarket stock that tickles your fancy but is only offered for the 12ga, this would be a way to make it work with your 20ga.

I don't want this to sound like an ad for my business, so I'll leave out web links and such. One that is becoming very popular is the Phoenix Kicklite. It has a pistol grip and an AR-style adjustable stock. I prefer the Phoenix over the Knoxx because the recoil-reducing spring mechanism is shrouded on the Phoenix, so it won't pinch your cheek like the Knoxx. It's comfortable, and works great, reducing recoil by 40 to 50%.

I'm typically not one to resurrect a thread, but I got the wife an 870 Express 20 Gauge for Xmas and am wondering what kind of synthetic options are out there for them. Hogue makes no-nonsense polymer furniture for 20 Gauges as well.

FYI- If your SG's serial # ends in "X" or "N", it has a large frame and will accept 12 Gauge accessories. Those ending in "U" or "K" are small frame and will only take 20 Gauge-specific items.

I'd recommend the Hogue OverMolded Series. They feel great.

That applied to pre-RS serial numbers, but under the new serial number system, the letter at the end varies, and doesn't mean anything, so you can see small-frame guns with serial numbers ending in "X" or "N" as well.

Stocks for the 870 aren't complicated. You have large-frame (12, 16, and some early 20ga) and small-frame 870s (current 20ga, 28ga, and .410); and stocks are either designed to match large or small receivers. If you're not sure what receiver size you have, it's easiest to simply measure it:

You can also put any large-frame stock on a small-frame receiver using an adapter, as mentioned previously in this thread.

Newbie here, 2nd post.
I have never looked at the stock end of a receiver on either the 12 or 20 ga guns but do they mount up the same ?
Center Bolt, same bolt size, what about the alignment slot (for lack of the correct term) same size ?
Once I find both guns I need to measure everything, then find out if I can actually mount a 12 ga High Tube Mount to the 20 ga receiver. From measurements above the 12 ga is only 0.090” wider, this shouldn’t be any problem if both stock mount in the same way. Split up the .090 = .045 both sides, that is less than a 16th of an inch, I would hope I can make a plate to cover the edge… if needed.

Thanks for any information, I am on hold in getting started, I first need my stock in hand before disassembly.

Those measurements are for the outside of the receiver. I believe there's more of a difference between the stock mortises. Mesa Tactical makes an adapter that will do exactly what you want to do, why not use that?
