serial numbers on barrel

Post by rustyscrew »

I know there are many things on here to find the year of you gun on here from the barrel. But I don't see any markings on the left side of my barrel except "full" and on the right there is just "REP" in an oval. Nearby there is also a "C" in a triangle and a rouge "H". I was wondering if anyone could help me with finding the age of my wingmaster?

Just a note, the thing you're looking for on your barrel is a date stamp, not a serial number. I keep bugging Vitaly to fix the wording on that page...

Anyway, if you can post the letters at the beginning of the (actual) serial number on your gun's receiver, I can help you narrow it down to within a handful of years, maybe a little further with additional details. If you want an exact date though, you should call or email Remington with your full serial number.

A "V" at the beginning of the serial number indicates a manufacture date somewhere between 1978 and 1984. If you want to narrow it down more than that, you should call Remington and have them look up the full serial number.
