Magazine Extension

Post by pump-it-up »

Hey Guys,

Who uses what magazine extension? I Just picked up a 20'' barrel for my Wingmaster and want to extend to +3, so I want the blued, not parkerized or bead blasted. What do you guys recommend?

I use a factory remington extension on my wingmaster. Works just fine. Mine is a +2 but I know they make a +3.

I use a Remington +3 with my 20" barrel. Mine's Parkerized, but you can order a blued version. One thing to be aware of with the Remington +3 kits is that they were originally designed for military use, so the bayonet cap on the end sticks past the muzzle of a 20" barrel by a half-inch or so. No functional problems with that, but if the look of it bugs you, you may want to look at aftermarket extensions.

I use VANG COMP extensions and they are very well made. Mine are +1 and a +2.

I went a touch "crazy" with mine. I put a +5 Choate on my 18.5" barrel. Mine is Parkerized, but you can get them in blued too.

I installed a Choate +5 on Gypsy's 20 youth model. It does stick out 5 inches past the muzzle, but having 11 rounds internal makes a huge statement if you have to trade shots in a SHTF situation.
