I have no problem with having a Brownells ad on the forum (it's actually kind of convenient), but is there any way we could switch to one that isn't animated?
I run a multi-monitor setup, and when I'm only working on one screen, I like to keep things like my email up on secondary screens so I can keep an eye on them. Unfortunately, I can't really tolerate doing the same with this forum because having that blinking ad in my peripheral vision is really irritating and distracting.

Re: Brownells Ad
I'm not sure how this site is set up, but it seems to me that it would be an easy manner to simply swap ads. I have to say though that I hadn't even noticed it until I read this post and went looking for it. Try scrolling down just enough to hide the header.

The problem with scrolling down is that I use a browser extension to refresh the tab periodically. Each time the tab refreshes, it returns to the top of the page.

run a host file blocker and you will not see any ads.. I never seen any ads here and didn't even know there was any.

Re: Brownells Ad
There's only one small ad at the top of the page. I have no problem with it being there; it's a handy shortcut to Brownells that I use fairly frequently, and I assume it helps keep this site online. I just don't like things flashing in my peripheral vision because it registers as motion and I instinctively want to focus on it.

Sync, no problem at all. I will ask my admin to do this, but it will take some time because he has a lot of work at the moment.
