Hi community,
can I simple polish the black Breech Bolt of my 870 Express Tactical without risk some corrosion?

If you're talking about completely removing the oxide finish on your breech bolt and stripping it down to the bare metal, you will increase the likelihood of corrosion. Keeping it oiled will help, but if you use your gun in an environment where corrosion is a concern, you may want to look into having the part refinished with a chrome or nickel plating, rather than just naked steel.

If you want to polish it for both appearance and corrosion resistance, you might consider engine turning it then using a high quality oil for lubricity and rust deterrence. It would look good with a polished blue receiver, but I've never seen it combined with matte finished parts like your Express model. You might look into it though, if you are set on spiffing up the looks of what was meant to be more utilitarian. JMHO, YMMV

thanks - I'm first a form follows function hunter, so probably I keep the original condition at the moment, according to this information.
I still have to think about the optical improvement.

Not sure why you would want to do it in the first place. Then it would be not Tacticool!:-)
Actually, I'm uncertain why I used that word as I'm too old to be doing so:-)
