I've heard many negative thoughts about the stock, because people don't see any good things about it. What do you think?

I may change my mind upon handling one, but it does appear clumsy in the photographs. And I'm a huge fan of Magpul gear for my AR-15.

It looks ugly, but the spacer system and swappable cheek riser have piqued my interest. The grip doesn't look uncomfortable either. The only real problem I can find in it is that it looks silly. Might be willing to try a Magpul product this time around... The forend doesn't really matter. Quite happy with my current one.

I must admit that it's appearance is a major turn-off for me as well.

Reminds me of the really old long guns in the museums. There may be something to this. From what I gather, Magpul is intent on building useful products.

Franz - 18" Barrel, Brownell's SS Follower, Knoxx Spec Ops & PowerPak, Hogue Grip, Extractor, Choate +2

You're right about Magpul. They do build wonderful products. Except for the A-2 buttstock and rear sling point, my AR-15 is fully decked out with their gear and it performs flawlessly. My only aversion to their 870 stock is aesthetic, but I'm sure it works exactly as they intended it to. And just to be fair, I can easily see the logic behind the grip angle. I'd also be willing to bet that it's tough as nails and may well outlast/outperform other adjustable 870 stocks on the market. And after looking at it again, I think it might be just the ticket on a dedicated slug gun with a cantilever scope mount.

I've been looking at railed forends, from what I understand, you can add the MOE rails to the forend in a number of possible combinations, and move them around as needed. I haven't decided what forend I'm gonna go with yet, but this one is among the possibles. Have had nothing but good experiences with the few Magpul pproducts I have owned.
