Pictures of your Remington 870 Shotgun

My latest 870, from LGS, but I believe this will be my oldest, but surprisingly, about the best condition. Appears original finish. I usually take my 870s apart and clean their innards good first, but am hesitant to on this one, it doesn't appear to have been before, but bone clean and dry inside. Spare barrel even has the matte rib that none of my others have. Maybe I should sand it down to match (kidding). Was wanting just an 870 16 pump I could actually use (my other one is a nice 1960s). Date code on Mod barrel of this one, that bears sn too, is OWW. The spare IC is LH, I think.

1980 Wingmaster / Police model.

Boy, I never got issued one that nice. Some good shooters (best was an old, beat up 20" barrel one I just loved). Remember when they sat upright in rack in car and smokers would use end of barrel as an ashtray....

Last picture of one of two 870P's I'd been restoring to original condition with my 18 year old. He wanted some character and wood. Replaced all the synthetic stuff with wood I'd scrounged and bought from eBay. The only thing non-standard is the mag tube extension. The forend replaced a IFL (Surefire 618) and is a hair too red. I'm considering re-finishing the butt time to make a perfect match, but for now, I'm delighted. Thoughts??

OH! The twin to this on it's way to VangComp. I did grab a Magpul SGA and some LPA sights. Totally tactical is my goal.

I have an 870 Police that I got for Christmas some years ago that now has a mesa stock adaptor with a hydraulic piston stock adapter. I have two "police" Wingmasters that I purchased used, the riot gun was $125 before Remington went bankrupt. I also picked up a marine magnum XCS at an auction recently.

Great looking 870! I’m a big fan of that clean, traditional look. The Remington mag tube is just looks so awesome. It’s the subtle differences that make it so great looking. I really want to go with wood furniture as well.

1993 Remington 870 Special Purpose in the DuPont bottomland camo dip! Awesome gun! Killed everything from ducks, moose, black bears and even a few harp seals.
20K rounds later and still no isuues!

Thank you - I was at the range with it last Saturday and bit runs perfectly! That mag-extention is actually a Wilson piece. I'd prefer a Rem +2, but they are very hard to find for a reasonable price. I managed to score ONE... $100 installed, which is high, but I won't have to cut and crown the barrel (also $100). That's an 18.5" barrel in the picture.
