Pictures of your Remington 870 Shotgun
Re: Pictures of your Remington 870 Shotgun
Back when I bought my 870 (second hand) I asked if they had a case it would fit in for transport. Well, they didn’t have anything new that would fit, but he scrounged around in back and gave me this case for free. At the time looked like it had been dragged down every dusty road in California (I’ve since cleaned it).
Anyway, I wanted something a bit better, so I got a new one that can hold my 870 with it’s light mounted and can my Glock 19 as well. Now I know under California law during transport the “gun must not be loaded and in a locked case (truck doesn’t have a trunk) but what I’m not clear on is if ammunition can or can not be in the same case (ie loaded magazines but not in the gun, box of shotgun shells, etc).
Also not clear on if the gun itself needs to be lock (like in photo) if it’s in a locked case.

Locked case, ammo doesn't need to be separate, ammo can be in mag that is not attached to the gun. (not sure about ammo in a side saddle but I think not)
The larger problem is does the LEO who pulled you over know this? It's best to avoid all discussions of firearms if pulled over. Aside from many LEOs claim they have never asked, nor know anyone who has asked "Do you have guns in the car?", once you admit you are transporting a firearm that gives the officer the right to inspect your firearm to see if it is transported legally. Best to avoid "inspections" and the officer's knowledge that a loaded mag is not illegal in itself for non "known gang members".
Since you are in CA the best reference for firearms laws is calguns.com. It's actually better than calling the CA DOJ Firearms Dept or their website.
Re: Pictures of your Remington 870 Shotgun
I recently parkerized this 870 Magnum and finished the stocks.

Thank you. I own a shop. So are you asking what I charge or, what it costs to get setup for providing the service?

That's one beautiful Shotgun Dreadi!!!
Due to the increased price of ammo, don't expect a warning shot...
Re: Pictures of your Remington 870 Shotgun
If someone wants a whole 870 done, it’s going to be around $400 depending on what parts they do or don’t want done and depending on how much assembly or disassembly I have to do.gWebber wrote:What it cost to have it done. Not looking to setup shop.
