Here’s my Pre 1975 according to Remington 870 Wingmaster prior to cleaning.
Original owner cut the Hasting ribbed barrel cut down to 20” inches and given the worn off blueing on the mag tube I think a lot of rounds went through it.

There’s a lot of things I’d like to update on it for HD but I’d like to keep the character of the old girl with the wood furniture.

I’m not qualified to date Megan Fox either, but I’m gonna try if opportunity knocks 😁

It’s pretty out side and a filthy bitch inside with several issue to be repaired 😖

Just an update to photos.
Got word back from Remington on the Receiver Serial number And they say it’s 1975. Seems like it should be a good year.

Here’s an updated photo.
Got the The ejection problem fixed, added a Remington Plus 3 mag tube I got from another forum user “ByxLaw” and the TacStar side-saddle on Amazon.

She looks ready to dance now.

Well, crap ... I guess I ordered the long one and not the shorter one 😩. Back to the drawing board I guess.

At least the Plus3 tube give me plenty of rounds onboard.

Now I just need to pick a light and mount combo that’s not too crazy

I may drop the idea of a side-saddle, reasons being ;

1. With the wood furniture, it looks better without it.

2. In a basic HD situation, if I haven’t ended it by the time I’ve spent six or seven rounds of 00 Buck, I’m screwed anyways.

But it does need a nice unobtrusive (but powerful) light I think, it seems though several popular brands have gotten some bad reviews lately ... so Suggestions Are Welcome.

Then I’ll start thinking about something other than the stock bead sight.

Though with the longest part of the house being maybe 40 feet , I’m not too worried about missing.

Finally added a Plus 3 Mag Extension, a Brownells Stainless Steel Follower (which I polished off any sharp edges), a Wilson Combat Jumbo Safety and a updated Remington Shell Lifter (slotted type) though sadly not a chromed one.

Still debating if I want a light or which light to use.

I also found a place near me where I might be able to do some trap shooting so I can do some test firing and get some practice in.
