I love it when old 870s get a new lease on life.

That's what they're meant for. These 870's are tools, not safe-queens. Now a nice vintage Wingmaster wood...… there's some art!mikelee8815 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2019 7:47 pm Love this 870. Its beat up, well used, and definatly not babied

Added another one to the family. Top = New 870 Express Trap, Middle: Wingmaster Magnum 30” barrel, Bottom: Wingmaster HD (looking for a shorter barrel).

Re: Pictures of your Remington 870 Shotgun
MikeLee, How did you get a 3" ejector installed in your wingmaster? I have a wingmaster non-magnum receiver with a barrel that will take 3" shells on it. I don't shoot 3" shells all that much in that gun anyway, but wondered if there's an easy way to do it besides taking to a gunsmith. Did you DIY or go to a gunsmith for the 3" ejector spring? Thanks, nice set-upmikelee8815 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2019 7:26 pm 1968 Wingmaster

Re: Pictures of your Remington 870 Shotgun
I bought new rivets, ejector, and ejector spring. I also bought the rivet setting tools from brownells and did it at home. It was a pain. Also if your worried about the finish on the side of the receiver where the rivets are, you will need to sand the head of the rivet and reblue them. As you can tell from my picture, the finish wasnt a concern to me as mine is a hunting rig and I'm not concerned about the finish. It's best to leave it to a gunsmith if you are unsure how to do it and/or are worried about the finish of your gun. I'll get a pic of the protruding rivets when I get a chance.
