2006 (pre freedom group) 870 Tactical. Duracoated it a couple months ago. I added an aluminum follower, machined steel extractor, and Monte Carlo stock.

Full tacti-cool. At least, as much as possible with the bits & pieces I have lying around. Personally, I think a quad-rail, a shell sling, and a vertical fore-end grip would really complete the look.

Believe me when I say that you do not want to try shooting something like this one-handed, it's a skewered foot just waiting to happen.

My 870 magpul butt stock and forend, combo side saddle and rail, trinity force reflex sight, front sling mount, one point sling, magpul cheek riser, not shown NON-MIM extractor. Been told need magazine tube extension been thinking about having it cerakoted but the time it goes out is when I go shooting guess the question is should I.

Nothing wrong with Cerakote or some other refinish job if you really want the look or the extra protection, but I wouldn't be in a hurry to get it done (especially if you're still breaking the gun in). The Express finish works a lot better than folks give it credit for; mine has seen plenty of snow and rain, without any real problems. I wouldn't want to drag it through the ocean or anything, but if this is a HD gun that lives in your house, and maybe sees some light precipitation at the range occasionally, the Express finish is perfectly fine. Just oil it occasionally, and take care of it promptly if it gets wet.

Thank you for the info about the cerakote I do baby my shotgun I clean it down to the firing pin after a day of shooting. I bought some wipes from Remington that have a light coat of oil on it works pretty good. Have another question since I bought two months ago I was wondering how many rounds before I take it in for a look over for any problems. I understand the 870 is a kickass shotgun guess I might be over cautious.

yotefan2, yup the 870 is a beast. I have seen them so beat up on the catwalks at a max prison i used to work at that you would think they would never run, but they just thrive on abuse that would trash almost any other shotgun. An upgraded safety or magazine follower are not needed but one of the easier upgrades.
