Thank you.
Model 25047 can be found on gunbroker or GunsAmerica I looked yesterday and there are some. As for the furniture I would go with the hogue if you are wanting a more comfortable feel and better grip I think it looks better and if you are wanting a regular sling. The Magpul is more expensive but have more options such as the fore end Mlock system you can mount lights, rails, etc and the stock can be adjusted for length of pull it will accept regular slings, one point and QD attachment, also I’ve heard the Magpul stock hand grip is angled a bit more to a pistol grip for better handling. Just look at what you will use it for and if you want looks just go with what you like.

@TexasArmor84,

Thanks. I found the dealer through gunbroker and called them to purchase directly and transfer to SC.

I just need a reliable light (Streamlight ???) and something that works in my home. Will look at the Hogue grips.

My other shotguns are semis and have longer 26" barrels. I wanted something that I can use when another idiot decides to help himself to things in my home. Yes that happened in broad day light last year. He got away as i was underneath my elevated AC units on the other side of the house when he came in my garage to start stealing.

I am honestly not well versed in the best options for home defense (buckshot) but after last year's encounter, I honestly feel more comfortable with a 6+1 shotgun at night than my handguns.

There are many lights and mount to choose from like the Surefire Forend it’s expensive and bulky I would recommend stream light mag tube mount which will mount a Streamlight TLR 1 or if you want brighter the TLR 1 HL. The Stock and Forend will work fine for home use and for that I say do not use the sling for it will interfere in high stress reloading and operation in home situations. If you want better grip the hogue is best. Sorry to hear of your encounter 00 buck will work for sure but if you want a bit less go with #4buck and it will do the job. Practice with both loads and also practice combat reloads.
Hopeless this helps below are some links and pictures of the hogue setup. Texas
