Not sure about your stock, but with my synthetic stock, the sling attachment point is simply molded in.
You can buy a sling stud by itself, which has a sling eyelet on the end of a threaded stud, with a nut that can be used to attach it through a hole. You'd probably be best off just buying another magazine cap with a sling swivel built in, though. It'll be more secure, and not much more expensive. I bought an Uncle Mike's magazine cap, and I love it. Just make sure you buy the one that matches your ratchet mechanism.

Re: Sling mount?
Yeah the point is molded in mine too. Does anyone have good tips where to find sviwel cap? Most of the ones i have found say not for 3 1/2 chambered ones, so meanin super mags. And mine is express super mag. Anyone know why those don't fit? different cap in 3" and smaller?

Re: Sling mount?
We discussed this a little while back in another thread. Basically, SuperMag 870s use the same magazine tube as other large-frame 870s, so there's no reason a 12ga magazine cap shouldn't work with a SuperMag.
Re: Sling mount?
Yeah, found that thread later on. It's weird that uncle mike's says thats it's not for supermags. I got myself a QD swivel set for most pumps and autos. Should work just fine, still need to figure out which stud is for 870 cap which has a hole already. Actually only one fits so that solves the problem. Its that with locks with hex nut. Wonder if the stud should be able rotate freely or be locked with the nut in fixed position?

Edit: actually that hex nut stud might be only for beretta 390 and i need to use the other stud to make it rotate freely. That means widening the hole or maybe i could use thread locking clue for the hex nut and not tighten it too much to keep it rotating freely.

Re: Sling mount?
For the price of that kit, you could just get a complete Uncle Mike's magazine cap with a built-in sling swivel from Amazon. I have one of these, and I love the swivel on it. They got it just perfect; stiff enough that it won't rattle around on its own, but not so tight that it'll bind up with a sling on it.
Just make sure you get the type to match the ratchet system on your gun.

Re: Sling mount?
Yes that would have been the best option. Sadly they don't ship to my location and if they do it cost $30 + the price. I can get the swivel base cap from local shops, but it costs $35 plus shipping and it doesn't even include the swivels.
I think the one i got now might be good with some thread locking glue.

I went with the Magpul sling mount and like it a lot. I'm also using a Magpul sling on it as well.

I also like the Magpul barrel clamp/sling mount. It's a solid product. Especially running the MS3 with that big ass clamp! I also really loved the SGA sling mount until MSTARMER pointed out the left handed compatibility issue. On a HD shotgun I want to be able to operate it any way necessary and taking out the option of my support hand should my dominant be injured, just doesn't sit well with me.navyshooter wrote:I went with the Magpul sling mount and like it a lot. I read his reply and tried it for myself and didn't have a problem using my left hand. I guess everyone is just built different, so if you think you might like the SGA mount then it'd be best to try out someones shotgun that had it installed first.JBall wrote: I also really loved the SGA sling mount until MSTARMER pointed out the left handed compatibility issue.
