Well, if/when you actually have the gun in your hands, it wouldn't be tough to figure out. Is the trigger plate polymer or powdered aluminum? Is the carrier dog follower spring black or matte grey? Does the extractor have a gate mark or not?TexasArmor84 wrote:I agree on your interest but I cannot find specs or information on it, the FFL dealer acquired it from Davidsons/ gallery of guns.

Remington 870 Police Marine Magnum
Powdered aluminum trigger plate, spring matte grey and the extractor does not have a slide gate.Synchronizor wrote:Well, if/when you actually have the gun in your hands, it wouldn't be tough to figure out. Re: Remington 870 Police Marine Magnum
Good to know, thanks. Although, a matte gray carrier dog follower spring would be the Marine Magnum part; the standard CDFS is silver, and the extra-heavy Police spring (1100 carrier latch spring) is black.
I really ought to take a better-quality version of this picture now that I have some good DSLR cameras. Those pictures were taken years ago with my crappy little point-and-shoot.

Re: Remington 870 Police Marine Magnum
I contacted Remington defense and was told that the police marine magnum was for law enforcement only. Meaning you can only get them through law enforcement weapon dealers. Davidsons is a big dealer guessing they can get there hands on them. The FFL guy I got it from said he got it from Davidsons

I had a shotgun training last week end and one of the shooters had Remington 870 Marine. I was surprised how smooth it was! It was brand new but action was so smooth.

Isn't that the case for any new Police 870, when you're a civilian? I'll admit, I haven't really researched that very much.TexasArmor84 wrote:I contacted Remington defense and was told that the police marine magnum was for law enforcement only. I didn't think I would ever find a Police Marine Magnum so I went with the civilian model and replaced the bead sight barrel with a rifle sighted barrel and made some other minor changes. Thanks for the inspiration!
