Re: Carry case/Range bag
I've been looking for a case myself. I thought I could get away with using my Colt-Bulldog case that use for my m4 but it's too short. I used it once and the stock sticks out like 4 inches. Worked for just that one time but looks like I'm gonna have to get a proper new case to transport my new shotgun. Not sure if I want a large case that can hold both or just the shotgun itself.
For a single gun case I kind of like the Wilson Combat one. I'm sure it's not made by them. Just has their name on it. Same as the Bulldog case I have that has the Colt emblem on it. Anyone know who makes this case for Wilson Combat? I'd rather get it without the Wilson logo and it's probably cheaper with it.

I have that bag for my 870 Express Synthetic. It's made by Ace Case but I don't see one like it on their website. I have a true 18" barrel on that gun and it barely fits.Bourget117 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2017 7:58 pm I've been looking for a case myself. Wilson has a newer one but I couldn't find the manufacturer's tag on it. Just one that reads "Made in Thailand". The size is a lot more accommodating.
Both are plain on the inside, no straps or anything.

I believe my barrel is 18.5' inches so I don't think the first case would fit. The second one does.

Re: Carry case/Range bag
I believe the second one is still the current offering from Wilson as it matches their listed size. They appear to be using an older image on their website. By the way that 870P also has an 18" barrel on it but it looks like there's plenty of room for another .5"Bourget117 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 10, 2017 6:11 pm I believe my barrel is 18.5' inches so I don't think the first case would fit. Save money and purchase a larger Bulldog case. I have the Colt Bulldog case also and it fits my 870 with the stock folded.

Re: Carry case/Range bag
Is there a better alternative to Bulldog cases? I've been using the Colt Cobra, but it's really small. Also, the zipper doesn't fully close because of the shoddy construction, and that's so annoying. So, don't be fooled by the "good deals on shotgun bags" that Aliexpress has. Most of them are of low quality and are not worth the money. For this reason, I prefer to invest in an excellent tactical range bag rather than buying a new one every month. I know that https://backpacks.global/compare/featur ... on-system/ has the best prices for range bags, so I'll order one from them. Do you have any suggestions?

Depends on what you are looking for. Pelican makes super tough products.

Re: Carry case/Range bag
The discussion is range bags, carry cases. So "backpacks" aren't really a good fit but close enough your post may not be considered spam. Your link isn't to a specific bag on the site either but to the whole site so no points for that.leciafosl wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 2:17 pm Is there a better alternative to Bulldog cases? Hope you find a better job.

Re: Carry case/Range bag
I still don’t have a case for my Remington 870. I use a plastic bag to store the gun and the ammunition. I know it’s not the best option, but it’s the only thing I can do now to protect it from humidity. I have already ordered a new case from Amazon and expect it to be here this week.
And I have a question regarding amination storage. Where is it best to store it, so it doesn’t get wet? I thought about some child resistant bags made of plastic, so it doesn’t get wet and are protected from kids at the same time. But maybe there are some better variants?

Re: Carry case/Range bag
I got a deal on a range bag and a long-gun case. I don't remember what I paid, but they are good bags. Only thing I did was scorch the nylon lining with hot AR-15 barrel. A little unsightly, but still a good case. I've got a CMP case for me Garand, a zillion cheap cases (Plano)...
They all sit around as all my toys go in my sage. Kind of a pain to store them all. I've got a drag-bag for my Colt 24" Sniper and another for my boys Moisen
