Hi all!
This is my first post and I had a question about replacing the 14" wood laminate stock and forend that came on my 20ga 870 Express with a synthetic youth stock and forend. The goal is to make the gun a little more comfortable for my wife and her tiny arms by reducing both the length of the stock and reducing the weight.
I'm just not sure if any Rem 870 20ga stock and forend would be compatible with my Express model.
Any guidance or recommended products would be appreciated!
Thanks!
-Jesse
Full specs of the gun: Remington 870 Express 20 Gauge with a 26'' vent rib barrel, Rem choke and front bead sight.
Will any 20ga 870 stock/forend fit my 20ga 870 Express?

Re: Will any 20ga 870 stock/forend fit my 20ga 870 Express?
Some older 20ga 870s were built on large-frame receivers that were the same size as the 16ga and 12ga models, but all current 20ga 870s are built on small-frame receivers. Consequently, pretty much all current-production 20ga 870 parts are also meant for small-frame guns. Unless you're buying really old used parts, you shouldn't run into any compatibility issues.
