how does that AFG by Magpul work for you when shooting. I think that is a Magpul AFG, I have been thinking about one since I have a full bottom rail. If you could please give some input on the functionality of that AFG that would be great. Thank up. Also that is a awesome build there.

Thank you very much. I really love shooting with the Magpul grip on there. Can blast through all 10 rounds at a time and 100+ in a couple hours and it is perfect. It is actually the AFG-2 which is supposedly a bit sleeker feel than the AFG-1, but I haven't ever had the "1" so I can't say for sure. Both the 1 and 2 come with a center piece in the grip for another finger spot that is either annoying or perfect depending on your hand size. I took it out for myself, but friends have shot it with it in, and a couple of them like it (all user preference). I did have this grip on my SKS for a while too and absolutely loved it on there. I do plan on buying a few more of these AFG grips for my guns. Best and favorite grip I have ever shot/owned.

I agree with that AFG2, I looked at the first one and it is a bit thicker than the 2gen, I did not go with it due to it would not fit the Magpul 870 forend as well being thicker. The AFG2 fits my hands fine,but had to remove that insert that has that finger spacer on it and put in the flat one. Did not like it on my fingers. I cannot wait to get it out tomorrow and run like 100 slugs through it, got to site in that sight mark.

I haven't been on here for awhile, but i just bought a new 870 Tactical. I really like it. It comes with several things i would put on an 870, but already come installed from the factory. It also has lots of potential to upgrade it how i want to. I'm thinking all Magpul furniture (and Magpul accessories) and a Mesa 6 rd Sidesaddle in the near future. I do like it as it is though, it's all new and tight. Time to put some rounds through this 870, and break it in.

Went out and ran like 100 shells through it, put a mix of 00 buck and Remington 1oz slugs. After shooting it with that AGF2 it really helps with the pumping and keeps you from short chucking it. Got that Sight mark sighted Almost in at 100 yards. Had to back up the Tacstar mag mount and the flashlight, was getting powder burned, after like 7 slugs it was the same color as the tactical choke tube. This has to be hands down one of the better shotguns I have owned. All the furniture that I put on it works flawlessly and the more I shoot it the better it gets.

Yep, they do look pretty similar. I think Remington must offer like ten different factory versions (or how they're equipped from the factory) of the 870 Tactical. I like what you did with yours, looks good.
