I could fly to Tennessee and train with Tactical response for less.

Im in Socal aswell.

Are they providing the ammo? That might make more sense.
No. they do not provide the ammo, and no, that's not what I paid for the class. The prices on the website are basically if somebody isn't wise to the whole situation and just buys on there. Most people get certificates for single classes for a lot less than that ($500?). Many more people buy memberships through friends or at gun shows or what have you, for varying prices ($500-$1000? depends on what the person selling it wants for it)

I paid a couple hundred bucks a few years ago for a lifetime membership during a membership drive. I can take any class I want, as many times as I want, for life, guaranteed placement as long as I submit 2 weeks in advance. Way I figure, I covered my cost for my membership on the first day of the first class I took there.

What I'm saying, is that I'm pretty sure nobody pays those prices.
Oh wow... seems like a great deal if you come across a good deal on a membership. The listed price on the website seems shady though.

I do run side saddles on my 870's and they are very handy for reloading. Besides a white light it's one of the mods I consider necessary for a combat shotgun. I would consider it to be optional for a home defense SG as it adds bulk and may make the SG harder to conceal for storage.

Well I'm back, all done. Learned a lot and had a blast. Will update with info and pictures tomorrow.

ended up shooting/performing about an 82% on the skills test.

My 870 ran flawlessly. Literally. Zero malfunctions or issues and I didn't so touch as run a bore snake through it. Several hundred rounds and it was windy and dusty out there. I didn't lube it or clean it since I figured this would be a good test.

Also no bruise or soreness on my shoulder AT ALL. Kept the toe of the stock in the shoulder pocket and I could probably go shoot another 600 rounds without issue. I feel like I was at the range for an hour or two, not 4 days for 8 hours each.

I took off the side saddle and don't regret it. It had one purpose which was holding a slug for select shell drills and I used a different method for that.

Again, I'll expand upon this all tomorrow. Maybe make a new thread.
