receiver pin

i had my shotgun apart and when i went to put it back together the front receiver pin will not go all the way through. it goes perfectly through one side of the receiver. through the trigger assembly. but will not go through the other side of the receiver. the part sticking out is minimal but i don't remember it being like that before. any thoughts?

If you try to insert the pin from the other side, will it go in as far, or can you only insert it a small fraction of an inch?
