I just ordered your follower, because my Remington follower got stuck in the magazine yesterday. I'm not happy about that. They cut costs by using a very cheap follower, at least in the Rem 870 express synthetic with the factory mag extension.

The mag follower is the bigest issue for any shotgun, but the basic plastic ones are just useless, even the older steel ones, as much as they last longer, you have to keep them oiled up or the rust in place.
Up in canada most of out police are still useing the 870 and the issue they from , with goign from hot patrol car to cold outside and back into car, the metal followers andof course other parts of the gun rust right up.
No the gun gettign rusty is not that big a deal, keep it oiled up, but cant oil up the mag tube or follower as it will attract dirt and course the gun to jam.
A delrin follower does not need any lube.
That being said at times i have worked on shotguns, and no amount of parts changing can get it to stock jaming the follower in the mag tube.
This is mainly and issue with burs or bent enf of the factory part of the mag tube and or the factory +2 mag tube.

I like my new S&J follower. It definitely works better than the stock one. I have not had a chance to use it while shooting, but just trying it at home loading/unloading shells, it is much smoother.

However, there is one minor issue. I have the factory magazine extension. With the stock follower, I could fit six 3" shells in the magazine. Now, I can only fit four 3" and two 2 3/4" shells. I guess the little tail (or whatever you call it) on the follower effectively reduces the length of the mag extension.
