As it sits now...next up is the Mesa Tactical Urbino stock. I don't like where the light is mounted either, but it's the only available rail at the moment. Eventually, I'd like to get a magazine tube clamp with optional 5 slot rail to mount the light to.

Just finished my build. Started with a wood stock 870 Express with a 28in barrel.

Added:
Magpul SGA Stock
Magpul foregrip
Sage +2 mag extension
L&M flashlight mount
GG&G follower
Punisher trigger assembly pin
Cut the barrel down to 18.5

baggedcobra, nice setup! Have you tested the flashlight mount? Does it stays in place under recoil?

Thanks buddy. I've not had the chance to shoot it yet. I literally just finished the build yesterday and the flashlight mount was pretty much the last thing to go on the gun. So far I love it.

Here is my build from the UK, Its an old 870 wingmaster with non vented barrel and metal trigger housing

24" ported barrel
Magpul furniture
Nordic + 5 extension
I silver soldered the LPA front sight on and milled the holes on the receiver myself and had the whole gun cerakoted

Last night I did a few upgrades to my 870. Most of my upgrades to now were exterior ones, shell carrier, sling attachments, light, sights, etc. I finally replaced the mag follower with red aluminum one, I replaced the carrier dog follower spring with Remington heavy duty (black spring) and I changed our the mim extractor for the non-mim extractor. All parts went on smooth and easy. Getting there!

More of a restoration than a build... I picked this old 870 Wingmaster riot gun up at a West Virginia pawn shop a couple years ago for $125. Even though it had the finish all worn off, one sling swivel missing, the other one broken and the stock beat up and cracked, it still looked like it had some life left in it.

I had the metal re-Parkerized by Knox Metal Refinishing of Marietta, Ohio. I replaced the broken stock with one of the same vintage style found on Ebay. It was cleaned with alcohol to remove all the built-up grease and crud, the dents and scuffs steamed out, sanded, and refinished with several applications of boiled linseed oil. The sloppily stenciled rack number on the original was duplicated on the replacement stock, the property tag polished and the skull-cracking curved aluminum buttplate repainted. The missing/broken sling swivels were replaced with a pair of Uncle Mike's detachable swivels and an older black leather military sling added. A few applications of Johnson's paste wax on the stock finished the job.

Thanks. Shoots as expected with 00 buckshot and no choke. It will be a fine home defense gun and a good conversation piece.
