Hello again, another question. Do parts ( internal & external) from one 870 fit another? Is it possible to put Wingmaster parts in a Express or a LE model? If affirmative do the year manufactured
make a difference?
Thanks again, Lou

Re: Are 870 parts interchangeable?
Assuming you're talking about 12ga 870s, with the exception of 3.5" Super Magnum models (which share many parts, but also have a number of specialized ones) and a couple specialized variants like the old Special Field models or the new MCS Remington offers to its military & LE customers, virtually all parts for magnum and non-magnum 870s are interchangeable. You could take apart a 1950 Wingmaster and a 2013 Police model, mix all the parts up, put them back together at random, and you'll have two working shotguns.
There are a handful of exceptions, but not many. If you can give us some details on what you're trying to put together, we can help identify some possible issues and tell you how to deal with them.

Re: Are 870 parts interchangeable?
Thank you very much for your quick reply. Yes I was inquiring about Remington 870's. I just started rebuilding a old 870 and that generated the question regarding the parts.
I have found that some online gun parts stores carry some 870's parts. I am looking for some more older 870 to rebuild. Any advice would be very much appreciated.
Thanks for your help. Lou

A piece of advice I have is (if you haven't yet) to download the parts price list from Remington's support page. It's a great reference, and though the prices are not all current (the link on that page is still for the 2012 list), you'll usually pay less ordering parts directly from Remington than you will ordering through a 3rd-party seller.
