Magnum or Not

Post by DuckDawg »

Do all of the 870 Express Magnums have Magnum listed or could my 870 Express be a Magnum? I saw somewhere else that if there was an M at the end of the SN that it was a Magnum. Is that true?

As far as I know, all 870 Expresses have been either Magnum or SuperMag models. 12ga Magnum 870s should have a serial number ending in "M" or "D". SuperMag serial numbers end in "A", and non-magnum (12ga 2.75" only) 870s have serial numbers ending in "V" (though non-magnum 870s can be converted to cycle 3" shells).
