My 870 HD

Here is my 870 home defense. I like how it came out. Only issue I have is that the forearm hits the saddle. Sucks. Lol

Update picture. Changed the FOREND and I like it way better. Lol!

A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life wrote a blank check Made payable to 'The United States of America' for an amount of 'up to and including my life.' That is Honor, and there are too many people in this country who no longer understand it.

That does suck. Time to switch out the forearm because I saddle is key on such a low round count weapon. Usually we don't have time to through on a chest rig so what we have in it and on it is it. This being said you might also wanna consider the Mesa Tactical Sureshell Carrier. It won't drop rounds like the Tac star under the heavy recoil.

If you like that fore-end, another option is to cut one side of it so that it fits around the sidesaddle. There are also lower-capacity sidesaddles that will not interfere with long fore-ends.

My TacStar sidesaddle has never dropped rounds under recoil, even after far more shots than it would take to empty the magazine in a defensive shooting. The Mesa Tactical carriers are definitely higher-quality, but the TacStar is a far less expensive alternative that works fine as long as it's installed properly.

I use the Tac Star 4-shell 'side-saddle' ammunition carrier on my Remington 870. My six shot had a screw come loose and fall out, but that was before I discovered "proper installation."

Good luck
