Due to lack of experience, I can only relate what I felt - not whether I was doing anything wrong or right. The power pack add-on I installed was the low cheek rise and the main point of this was to get the side saddle shell holder.

Just need to shoot more rounds...

Thanks for the info. Was considering it as a present, but if it doesn't do much, then it's money better spent elsewhere. I've read a few articles saying that you need to change your technique when using the stock, but many of them conflict... May have to take it out to the field and test which works best.

While on the subject of accessories for it, the rubber grip sleeve is a nice, cheap addition. The finger grooves and pebbled texture feel much more natural and comfortable than the bare pistol grip. Though the grip for the Gen II stock looks much better.

Another shooting experience with this stock has me thinking I made a bad choice...

Or according to Thomas Edison, a good choice - because now I know I don't like it.

Thomas, what was wrong with it? I remember that I experienced cheekslap but then it was gone and I enjoyed Knoxx stock for about a year. Later I changed it to Hogue because wanted more simple solution.

The gun feels like I'm wrestling a snake when I shoot it. Maybe I'll get used to it and maybe I'll figure out how to keep from getting repeatedly punched in the jaw or cheek.

I kind of asked about this in the topic for the more expensive stock like this but why are you trying these? is there an advantage over the standard stock type? or is this all personal preference? any and all info is appreciated, totally new to guns in general.
