Source for Wood Cobb Forends

Thinking if changing my furniture on my gun. I like the Old School wood Forends.

Anyone know a source for some like that?

There are almost always several old wood fore-ends posted on Ebay; that's where mine came from. You may have to do some waiting if you're after a specific style, finish, and/or condition, but that's where I'd start looking.

I don't know if this is what you're looking foror where you are, but check in your area as well.

That is the set I have now. I may just buy a Hogue set.

If you're feeling wood, I say go for wood. There are some really nice deals on used 870 wood furniture out there (especially if you're willing to do refinishing work), you just have to keep an eye out for them.

Also, if you're just after a shorter fore-end, you can always pull the fore-end tube out of your current one and cut material off the rear to get it down to the length you want.

I have some birch police furniture I'd trade for your laminated furniture? PM me if you want pics or any additional info.

Thanks

Thats what i have (my OS). Ya know all this talk and great pics of wood furniture has slowly thinking i should go with the old Police style wood set. They do look good; i like the short cobb wood fore end, but i'd have to have shorter than normal rear stock, i've grown very used to a short LOP in my rear stock.

The nice thing about wood stocks is the material and short, recessed stock bolt allows you to cut the LoP down relatively easily. MStarmer has a good example of that.
