Special care is required when installing the accessory picatinny rail on the bottom of the Magpul fore end.
The frontmost rail screw, when fully tightened, will press into the fore end tube nut.
Attach the fore end and tighten the tube nut first, then gently tighten the frontmost rail screw until it cannot be tightened anymore (it will be touching the tube nut)
I did just the opposite and carved a nice groove around the entire circumference of the tube nut, so I learned a $16.00 lesson...

Re: Take care when installing accessory rail on Magpul fore
Good tip, but even installing things in the order you specify, there are still going to be interferences, and it would make removing the fore-end tube assembly to change fore-ends or clean inside a lot more complex.
What type of screws are used to mount the rails? If it's something ordinary like a flat- or socket-head screw in a standard size and thread pitch; users would have the option of either shortening the existing screw, or just buying shorter ones for a few cents each from a fastener supplier.
