Sharing in case it helps. Have one of these and scraped a chunk of the coating on the front side. No biggie, but drives me crazy seeing black with a piece of shiny metal. Called Mesa and you touch it up specifically with Dykem Staining Color Black. About $10 online for 8 oz. bottle.

So just in case you need to clean that up down the road with wear and tear.
