STOCK REPLACEMENT QUESTION

Post by randallace »

OK, working on an 870 express from 1987 - i removed the wood stocks- and am adding modern plastic ones ( remington factory ) , but with the stock plate in there it leaves a nasty gap , but if i leave it out - it fits flush , is this plate necessary to be in there ??

using this stock - Image

That bearing plate is only necessary for wood stocks. It needs to be taken out for a polymer stock to fit correctly.
