You will not be disappointed with the Mesa... I recommend using the white rubber grip tube for a more secure fit...

Yes. When you receive your Mesa holder you will be given the holder which comes pre-assembled (it is a two piece design), you will receive an extra peice of tubular rubber, this one should be white as a black one will already be installed. The white one, in my personal experience holds the shells more securely. It is easily replaced by removing the holder from the base-plate by removing the screws on the back side of the holder and simply changing the tubes. One other awesome thing is that Mesa Tactical will send you replacement tubing at anytime FREE OF CHARGE!
Oh, and another plus, in case you wondered how to remove the movement in the trigger group assembly, the Mesa holder eliminates the movement when installed... just dont over tighten.
Hope you enjoy your's as much as I enjoy mine.

Guess it will look a lot nicer with a shorter barrel, it looks so big with the 27"( ?..or was it 28" ) barrel

Nice; looks to be about a 14" barrel. Is that a legal length in your country? Here in the US, we have to jump through some additional hoops before we're legally allowed to have a barrel shorter than 18" (that's only for law-abiding folks of course, criminals just take a hacksaw to their guns without asking anyone's permission, so I'm not sure what the law is actually doing to help).
Re: Witch barrel for my 870
I have to get permission from the government to by a barrel, whatever size it is, but I think 40 cm is the minimum..
The barrel I have on the last picture is cutted so it pretty useless to use on anything else then REALLY close shooting
