I am considering Cerakoting my Rem 870 but have a question. The trigger guard is plastic and the cCerakote I want to use is the kind that must be baked at 200º F for 2 hours. I am wondering if anyone has done this and can let me know if the trigger guard can tolerate that much heat for that period of time? The Air curing kind would be safe but from what I read, it is not as abrasion resistant as the baked kind
TIA!

Re: Cerakoting my 870
I wouldn't do it.
Better yet, contact Ceracote and ask them.
