I recently picked up a used Remington 870 Express and noticed that when I load 00 buck (both Federal and Winchester), the shell sometimes hangs up when feeding from the magazine tube. It doesn’t happen with birdshot. I've cleaned and lubed everything, replaced the mag spring, and it's still a bit inconsistent.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Would a new follower or polishing the chamber help in this case?
Remington 870 Express feeding issue with 00 buck – any fixes?

If you could help clarify the situation you are experiencing, it may help us figure out the cause and a possible remedy.
When you state you are having feeding issues, which feeding are you referring too? Meaning that the shells have to feed out of the magazine tube when the action is cycled rearward, and then the shell has to feed up and into the chamber when the action is cycled forward, so which feeding issue are you having?
Also you state that it is fine on bird shot, but having issues with buckshot. So is there a difference in the length of the shot shell, meaning 2-3/4" versus 3", or what type of ammunition is being used in both cases might help?
