I have a Remington 870 Express used for slug deer hunting. Any recommendations on a Red Dot sight to use with the 870 Express?
Also, any reliable saddle mounts to use as well?
Appreciate any input.

For a red dot, look at the Vortex Venom or the Burris Fastfire 3.
For a saddle mount, the TacStar or Mesa Tactical options are solid and hold zero well.

I’ve used the Remington 870 Express for similar purposes, and pairing it with a Burris FastFire or Holosun red dot works great—solid clarity and holds zero well. For saddle mounts, consider the TacStar or Aimtech—they’re both sturdy and reliable.

For deer hunting with the 870 Express, the Burris Fullfield II 4.5-14x42 https://gritroutdoors.com/burris-fullfield-ii-4-5-14x42mm-riflescope-200183 is an excellent choice — especially if you're shooting at 75+ yards. Its Ballistic Plex reticle is great for bullet drop compensation, and the sealed design handles rain without issue.
But if you’re looking specifically for a red dot (for closer ranges or fast shots), my Holosun 507C has held zero through 200+ rounds of magnum slugs. For mounting, I recommend the Mesa Tactical Urbino mount—it’s more rigid than the TacStar and aligns well with the barrel.
