I have a Remington 870 LW 20 gauge. I understand the 20 LW and 28 share the same frame. I need an uncheckered forend (have an uncheckered stock, so want to get both checkered to match) and found some at Numrich. They have one that says for a 20, but they told me on the phone it is a standard 20. They also have one for a 28 gauge but didn't know if it would fit my 20. Will a 28-gauge forend fit a 20?
Thanks.

Re: 870 forend questions
You need to purchase a replacement 20 gauge specific forend/forearm part to match your 20 gauge Remington 870 LW shotgun.
The Numrich representative was correct - the 20 gauge forend is what you need, not the 28 gauge one, even though the frames are interchangeable. I would recommend purchasing the 20 gauge specific forend part to ensure a proper fit and function on your 20 gauge 870 shotgun.

Re: 870 forend questions
The 20-gauge and 28-gauge Remington 870 shotguns share the same receiver/frame, but the forends are not interchangeable. The forend for a 28-gauge will not fit a 20-gauge model.
