New member with older 870

Just found and joined the site.
Have an 1100 I bought new in the early 80’s, but just bought an older 870 Wingmaster.
Have been looking up how to date it.
Barrel code is CW, which I believe equates to April, 1969-1973. Receiver serial starts with S, which I think indicates 1972.
Receiver suffix is M, which is 12 ga, 2 3/4 - 3” shells.
28” barrel is not a REM-choke and is stamped 12 GA. Magnum for 3” shells. Also stamped FULL
So, assuming barrel is original to the gun, then it dates to April of 1972 I think.
The magazine tube doesn’t have lugs and the plug is made of wood.
