Hello everyone. Cool site and community. I gleaned a lot of information about the 870 just from reading, prior to signing up.

I recently acquired a Model 870 Synthetic Tactical (the 6+1 variety with the one-piece magazine). I like the shotgun, but if I were doing it again I probably would not get the one-piece magazine; I've come to discover that it's incompatible with other 870 barrels unless you get an additional spacer part, which is a pain. I need to call Remington and see if that part is even available.

I haven't done much to my new 870, yet. I changed the stock to get a shorter length of pull (I put on a Hogue with a 12" LOP), and I've ordered an S&J Delrin follower (a type 3).
